


There is no question that people are passionate about their views, but that passion does not excuse the lack of civility that permeates our culture. While the Bible speaks very strongly about many different issues, it also stresses civility in sharing what it says. In his first letter, the apostle Peter was inspired to write: “Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give a reason for the hope that is in you. But speak with gentleness and respect, while maintaining a clear conscience.” (Peter 3:15-16 EHV) So, how did she react to the firestorm of criticism that came from the left?
